How Much Does a Website Cost in Delhi NCR? (Real 2026 Price List, No “Depends”)

A five-page business website in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram costs ₹15,000–40,000 one-time where you supply your own content, plus ₹3,000–6,000 a year for domain and hosting, plus 18% GST. Packaged template offers start around ₹7,000 a year; stores start around ₹60,000. Full table below, then why the market range is so wide.

The price list

What you’re buying One-time cost Notes
Packaged template site From ~₹7,000/yr Listed publicly. You supply everything; no revisions or support
5-page business site, you supply content ₹15,000–40,000 The realistic band for most NCR small businesses
5–8 pages with content written for you ₹35,000–70,000 Text written, images sourced
Store with payments and stock ₹60,000 upward Depends heavily on catalogue size
Custom booking system or web application Quoted individually Scope-dependent
Website redesign / rebuild of an existing site ₹15,000–50,000 Often cheaper than a new build if content exists

Yearly costs, every year

Item Typical cost Optional?
Domain ₹700–1,200 No
Hosting (small site) A few thousand No
SSL certificate Free with most hosting Query any recurring charge
Business email on your domain Small monthly per mailbox, or included Optional
Maintenance / AMC ₹15,000–30,000 Optional — see what it should cover

GST

18% on website development services. Most quotes are stated exclusive, so ₹25,000 becomes ₹29,500. If your business is GST-registered, input credit generally makes it a cash-flow item rather than a cost — the arithmetic, and confirm with your CA.

Why quotes range from ₹5,000 to ₹5,00,000

Because “a website” describes genuinely different products:

  • Template with your text inserted versus a design made for your business
  • Five pages versus twelve
  • You supply all content versus text written and images sourced for you
  • Two revision rounds versus an undefined number
  • No support after launch versus a maintenance plan
  • A sole freelancer versus a firm that won’t vanish if one person gets a job

None of that is visible in a number. Which is why comparing three quotes on price alone compares nothing — the full explanation.

Decoding “price depends on requirements”

It genuinely does. But you can force a real number by supplying the requirements yourself:

I run [business type] in [Noida/Delhi/Gurugram]. I need these pages: Home, About, Services, Gallery, Contact. I’ll supply logo, text and photographs. I need a contact form, WhatsApp button, and my address with a map. Please quote for exactly that, and include: total payable with GST, year-two cost for domain and hosting, number of revision rounds, delivery date, and whether the domain will be registered in my name.

A vendor who still says it depends has been given the requirements and chosen not to answer. More on getting a real number.

Cost by specific search — the long-tail answers

Website development cost. Same as above: ₹15,000–40,000 for a five-page business site where you supply content. “Development” and “design” are used interchangeably in this market and don’t reliably indicate different scope.

Website developer price / website creation price. A freelancer or two-person studio typically sits at the lower half of that band; an agency at the upper half or above, buying original design, project management and content help.

Custom website development cost. “Custom” should mean a design made for your business rather than an adapted template, and possibly custom functionality. Expect ₹40,000 upward, and ask specifically what is custom — the word is used loosely.

Website development package price. Packages bound the scope, which is useful, but check the four exclusions: content writing, revision rounds beyond the limit, the year-two cost, and anything that brings visitors. The fifteen-item package checklist.

Shopify website development cost. Shopify carries its own monthly platform fee on top of build cost, billed indefinitely — so compare it over three years against a self-hosted store, not against the build price alone.

Ecommerce website development cost. ₹60,000 upward, and the number that surprises people isn’t the build — it’s product entry. Budget for that separately.

The costs that appear after the quote

Cost Typical In the quote?
18% GST 18% of build Often only as “plus GST”
Year-two domain + hosting + AMC ₹3,000–36,000 Rarely
Content writing Varies Rarely — usually your job
Extra revision rounds Per round Only if rounds were numbered
Extra pages Per page Only if the page list was named
Business email Small monthly Rarely
Per-change fees after launch A few hundred each Almost never

Ask for the year-two total in writing before you commit. Its absence is the single most reliable predictor of renewal shock — the twelve hidden costs in full.

The third number nobody quotes

Building the site and getting people to it are separate purchases. A workable split is two-thirds of your total to the build, one-third to reach over the first three months.

High-intent service queries in NCR carry top-of-page bids of roughly ₹20–190, so even a modest test tells you what a lead costs within two weeks. Skip this and you’ll have a working website with an empty inbox — how to set the three numbers.

Is your quote fair?

Locate it in the table. Then check three things rather than arguing about the number:

  1. Is the domain going in your name? A “no” eliminates the vendor at any price.
  2. Is the year-two cost stated?
  3. Are revision rounds a number?

Two quotes ₹10,000 apart where one answers all three and the other doesn’t are not two prices for the same thing.

What to do this week

  1. Locate your requirement in the price table.
  2. Send the six-line scope message to three NCR vendors.
  3. Ask for the total payable including GST, in writing.
  4. Ask for the year-two figure for domain, hosting and maintenance.
  5. Set your third number — what you’ll spend on reach — before finalising the build.

If you want it done the certain way

We publish the build price, the year-two total including GST, and what reach would cost — as three numbers, before you commit. Domain in your name, 30% advance, payments tied to stages you can open. WhatsApp us; we reply in about five minutes between 9am and 7pm.

FAQ

How much does it cost to make a website in Delhi NCR?
₹15,000–40,000 one-time for a five-page business site where you supply your own text and photographs, plus ₹3,000–6,000 a year for domain and hosting, plus 18% GST. Packaged template offers start around ₹7,000 a year.

What is the yearly cost of running a website in India?
Domain ₹700–1,200, basic hosting a few thousand, SSL usually free with hosting, and maintenance ₹15,000–30,000 if you take a plan. Ask for this total in writing before you buy — it’s rarely in the quote.

Why do website prices vary so much?
Because the same phrase covers different products: template versus custom design, five pages versus twelve, content supplied by you or written for you, defined or undefined revisions, and support included or absent.

How much does a custom website development cost?
Expect ₹40,000 upward, and ask specifically what is custom. The word is used loosely — sometimes it means original design, sometimes only that a template was adapted.

Is GST extra on a website quote?
Usually yes, at 18%. Ask for the total payable including tax. If your business is GST-registered, input credit generally offsets it, which can make an invoiced purchase cheaper in net terms than a cash price.

How much should I keep aside for marketing after the website?
Roughly a third of your total, spent over the first three months. NCR high-intent service queries carry top-of-page bids of about ₹20–190, so a modest test produces a real cost-per-enquiry figure within two weeks.
